Seema Sajdeh, who is known for appearing in the Netflix reality show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, recently opened up about her life in a podcast and shared that she actually eloped with ex-husband Sohail Khan when she was only 22. Seema shared that her parents were not in favour of her getting married at such a young age but she did it any way.
Looking back at the early days of her love story with Sohail, Seema shared with Shivani Pau on her podcast that she first met him at actor Chunky Panday and Bhavana Panday’s engagement. “I actually met Sohail at Bhavana and Chunky’s engagement and it was a whirlwind romance and then we got married,” she said. Seema shared that she had just turned 22 at the time and after knowing Sohail for only three months, she eloped in the middle of the night. “I had known Sohail for maybe three months and coming from this world where my parents did not want me to get married, they had other plans for me. I just kind of got up and eloped in the middle of the night,” she shared.
When asked if getting thrown into the world of limelight affected her mental health in any way, Seema shared that had her share of insecurities at that time and pointed out that even the fact that Sohail was surrounded by “beautiful women” affected her. “Being exposed to so much judgement, and of course, your husband is constantly with a lot of beautiful women, surrounded by them all the time. I was 22. You don’t know anything when you are 22. You have so many insecurities. I felt a lot of pressure in the beginning and then I shifted all that focus into wanting kids,” she said.

Seema shared that since she married into a family which had a lot of famous celebrities, she was constantly questioning herself. Sohail is the brother of Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan, sons of veteran writer Salman Khan. At the time, Arbaaz was married to Malaika Arora. “I had a bunch of insecuriteis. Was I good enough? Did I look good enough? I used to question myself and you are surrounded by all of these famous people and then good looking people,” she said. Describing this time in her life as “daunting”, Seema said that it was “hard initially” and she was quite “overwhelmed” with the experience.
Seema and Sohail eventually separated and divorce. They are parents to two sons – Nirvaan and Yohaan.
